Mountain Vista Medical Center Receives Trailblazer Award
Mesa United Way award is given to organizations who have significant donation increases.
July 1, 2010

Mountain Vista Medical Center (MVMC) has received Mesa United Way’s Trailblazer award for increasing donations by 80 percent during the 2009 campaign. The award presentation will take place at 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, July 8, in the hospital cafeteria. With more than 450,000 people who call the city of Mesa home, MVMC is committed to providing high quality health care and working outside hospital walls to improve the health of the people in the communities it serves.

“It is encouraging for our employees to see how much their generosity and participation has impacted the community,” says Tony Marinello, CEO. “We know how important it is to be involved in the community –participating in the Mesa United Way campaign is one way that we can make a difference,” says Marinello.

Mesa United Way is an organization that puts 100 percent of donations received directly back into the community. Mesa United Way's goal is to ensure a local safety net of core services for children, the disabled, elderly and those experiencing unforeseen hardships. Their services range from after-school programs to children's shelters, food banks and more.
